Fire at the Grotius building
Flashing lights, fire trucks and numerous employees that got sent out of their offices: this morning, a small fire broke out at the Grotius building. The building is not accessible for now, but the fire is under control. Students who have exams in the building today should not cheer too soon: the exams will be moved to another location.
This morning, there was a small fire with a lot of smoke in the Grotius building. The location of the fire was found quickly and after that, the fire department easily distinguished it. Later today, the university will update about the cause and the consequences of the fire. On Twitter, the university does already state that the building will not be accessible for now. The exams that have been planned for today will still take place. Students that have to take an exam, will get a message about the new location.
Update 11.14: The Grotius building will not be accessible for the rest of the day, tonight there will be an update about the rest of the week. The university says that students who have a lecture in the building, should keep track of blackboard for alternative locations. On top of that, the university asks everybody to move parked cars underneath the building as soon as possible.
Update 12.22: At 13.00, employees can pick up their belongings from their work space, under supervision. Furthermore, the university announces that the building will not be accessible tomorrow.
