As stated by the Gelderlander, police worked with the Veteran’s Search Team (VTS) in the woods near Oisterwijk in Brabant to look for the missing student. The police caught signals from the student’s phone. A police spokesperson told the paper that there are concerns regarding self-harm.

Last year, the student was vice chair for the Vegan Study Association Nijmegen (VSA); he was also on the electoral list for Green+. His fellow party members as well as members of the University Student Council (USR) are all worried for his wellbeing. They shared the police message via Instagram.
