Paula (18) and Femke (17) have applied for the study Molecular Life Sciences. They met less than 24 hours ago.

Freshmen Paula and Femke are pulling silly faces in front of a photobooth on the introduction market. Based on the way they are posing, you would assume they have been best friends for a long time. ‘We actually only met yesterday. We are in the same introduction group’, Paula explains.

The two students have applied for the study Molecular Life Sciences, which is a study that combines Biology and Chemistry. ‘I liked both courses’, says Paula. Femke was in two minds between Molecular Life Sciences and Biomedical Sciences, but didn’t make it through the selection for the latter.

The freshmen really like their introduction group. ‘Later today we are going to play vossenjacht, where we have to search for other people dressed as foxes,’ says Femke, who lives with her parents in Nijmegen and isn’t looking for a room yet – her friend is. ‘And tomorrow we are going swimming. It’s not an official introduction activity, but our group thought it would be fun. But now we have to hurry to the Huygensgebouw, before we lose the rest of our group!’
