New Radboud app explains life in the Netherlands

08 Jul 2016

Radboud University has launched a new app for international students and staff. The aptly named ‘Radboud University International Students and Staff’ app is available for iOS and Android.

The app has different content for prospective students, exchange students, participants in the Radboud Summer School, and for international staff and PhD students. It provides all kinds of information, from pre-arrival visa instructions and how you can arrange housing to orientation programs and an explanation of the garbage recycling system in Nijmegen. The app even includes a campus map and a list of Dutch phrases, although no pronunciation key is given.

The focus of the app lies on general information for internationals and it does not provide easy access to Blackboard, timetables and Osiris. Those systems will be included in the upcoming Radboud app for all students.

The app has been developed by SCA Worldwide, which also made similar apps for several British and American universities. Most information pages also work offline, but for the campus map an internet connection is needed.
