University looking for Internationalisation Award winner
The Executive Board has issued the call for nominations for the annual Internationalisation Awards. This year for the sixth time, the university will award the best internationalisation initiative with a cash prize of 10.000 euros and a certificate.
‘The university wants to support and stimulate internationalization at Radboud University’, says Boudewijn Grievink, who is responsible for the competition this year. ‘The prize is a reward for bottom-up initiatives, for example by education programs, faculties and student associations. Programs by the international offices are not considered for this award.’
Every year, about ten or eleven possible winners are considered. Last year, the Erasmus Mundus master programs from Nijmegen School of Management were rewarded with the prize for ‘fulfilling a leading role in the creation of international programmes at our university’. The year before that, the prize went to the Germany-Netherlands joint master programme and the Masterclass in Cardiovascular Science.
A jury, led by the Rector Magnificus, will choose a winner who will be announced during the opening ceremony of next academic year. ‘So the whole university will be watching who wins’, says Grievink. Nominations have to be sent in before 12 July 12 PM.
