They left hearth and home to study in Nijmegen. Due to online classes, a lack of social activities and travel restrictions, international students haven’t had an easy time this year. Film-maker Ivana Smudja made four portraits of those students. In this video we meet Gabriella (‘Gaby’) from Spain, who tries to be forgiving of herself when she is struggling with motivation.
