From now on the Student Portal, student.ru.nl, is the virtual front door for all English speaking students to all relevant information related to their studies. The Student Portal is the successor of KISS, the ‘old’ site with ‘Internet services for students’. In the Portal students can check their email, register for courses and exams, check recent exam results, find out where they have classes and much more. The content of the Portal is customized to the person who has logged in.

If students have used the KISS account before,  logging in to the Portal can be done with the regular password that they are now using for the KISS account. When it is the first time they’re using the RU account (old KISS account), students must first activate it by converting their activation password to a regular password. They can do this on the login page,student.ru.nl, by clicking on “RU Account Settings’. They can log in with their student number preceded by the letter ‘s’ and with their password.

After logging in, students can click on the English flag and will then be immediately directed to the English version of the Student Portal. The next time they log in, the portal will open the English Student Portal automatically. Once they’ve logged in, they do not have to log in again if they choose to use the service Single Sign On (SSO).
